How to get rich quick

One of the more common questions I'm asked is 'how can I make a million quickly?' But I can't help - rather than 'get rich quick', all my experience so far has suggested that there is no such option available.

For starters, why is the sum always a million? If that is exactly the money someone wants, were they looking for nine hundred and seventy thousand last year, and will they want a million and thirty thousand next year, to take account of inflation?

Obviously not. The sum merely represents an abstract target that offers an alternative to a current position or lifestyle. But easy come, easy go – as many pools and lottery winners have discovered. The skills required to earn a substantial pot of money will also help to keep it!

Sorry, but if there is some quick, easy and honest way to ‘get rich quick’, I’ve never seen it for myself, or when working for others. There is no short cut, no magic formula. Progress can only come through intelligently directed effort, with each stage thought through and with sufficient determination to stay on target when things are difficult.

Rather than looking for a ‘worm hole’ to jump straight to a life of plenty, follow a different path and actually achieve your perfect lifestyle. Start by deciding what you really, REALLY want. ‘I want a million’ is not enough – what would you do with it? Once you know what your true heart’s desire is, it is possible to start mapping a course – stage by stage – that will take you there.
