"As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen

This self-help book was first published in 1902, and is now considered to be a classic of the genre, it is the author's most famous of over 20 publications. Although Allen found neither fame nor fortune, his works continue to influence others to this day. The book presents the idea that our thoughts influence our character and attitude, and therefore our condition in life; “You are what you think”.

"Acres of Diamonds" by Russell H. Conwell

An American Baptist minister and lecturer, Russell H. Conway was ordained in 1879 after having practiced law. In 1884 he was the founder and first president of Temple University - a college for working people; he was active as a lecturer for over 60 years. He delivered the inspirational lecture 'Acres of Diamonds' more than six thousand times, arguing that wealth can be attained by anyone and that riches should be sought "in your own backyard.”

"The Art of Money Getting" by P.T. Barnum

Showman, hoaxer, performer, creator of the 'Greatest Show on Earth' and author, he was an expert self-publicist. His autobiography was, by the end of the 19th century second only to the New Testament in number of copies printed in North America.
