Two recorded interviews
Author and business consultant Paul Gorman interviews Paul Hurst about the new book.
But as well as digging deeply into the book, they cover a much wider area. These recordings contain an absolute treasury of gems and nuggets of information for you to discover.
Chapters one to six
...and chapters seven to sixteen (and three quarters).

Written by a friend, Mark Lemezma. As well as being a professional 'Magic Circle' magician, Mark is also an after-dinner speaker and offers training in presentation and public speaking. You may not need a wedding speech, but how about picking up a few free general tips on writing and presenting speeches? That's why I like browsing - you never know what little gems you will find, and I love to discover ideas from different areas, then use them myself!
This was a book I wrote some time ago to solve a problem. Organisers of charity events are often happy to pay the going rate for the venue, advertising, catering and general services for their event, which will probably be taking place on a Saturday.
But when they contact performers, it is not uncommon to expect us to donate services free of charge because the profits will support their good cause. Saturday night is often the one time we can be sure of a 'gig', asking us to perform for free could be the same as asking them to give up a week's pay from their job to support my good cause.
This eBook provided a polite way of moving the discussion from 'will you do it for free?', and to which there can be no happy 'win-win' outcome, to 'How can we pay for the band beore they even arrive'.
At one charity event in Kent, I had one good idea that paid in full for a pretty big and expensive line-up (it was a pretty heavyweight affair, at Penshurst Place). In fact, the idea was such a success that they booked other performers as well!
Created to solve another problem. I've been working as a performer since the late 1970's, so have picked up a few ideas along the way. However, sitting by the 'phone waiting to go through the same basic info with each new potential client is not really the most productive use of my time! By stringing together extracts from different articles and letters I've been able to automate that part of my entertainment business.
An eBook with some possible opportunities if you are mainly web-based, and even for extra income for nothing (it is free to sign up!) if not.
